There are rare and valuable stamps in all postal systems of the world. Two of the best known of these are the Inverted Jenny, which was a printing error and the 1-cent Z grill stamp from the US postal system. Anyone who is a serious stamp collector will tell you that there are five most valuable stamps in the world and all are trying to have them in their collections. However, they are very rare and thus, very expensive. These valuable stamps are:
1. The Three -Shilling Banco from Sweden, which is yellow in color, was printed in 1855. This stamp is valuable because the yellow was a mistake in the color of the stamp. Perhaps the greatest sin of mishandling a stamp is to handle it with your fingers. I cannot emphasize enough the most important point that stamps should never be handled except with a pair of fine stamp tongs. They are used because these tongs can be used to roll a hinge off a stamp without tearing or thinning the stamp provided, of course, that the hinge used was one of the peelable varieties. Some of the older hinges were not peelable, and taking them off the stamp with a pair of tongs is merely inviting trouble.

A runner ran from one village or relay post to the next, carrying the letters on a pole with a sharp point. His was a dangerous occupation: the relay of postal runners worked throughout the day and night, vulnerable to attacks by bandits and wild animals. Later Ramayana and Mahabharata, two of the greatest epic, mention of the transmission of messages.
